Your key responsibilities:
Works basic assignments from work queues as directed. Assists with the segmentation of pending requests from various work queues into the appropriate workflow based on request type and complexity.
Responsible for research and resolution of payment transaction retrievals, chargebacks/disputes, representments, & pre-arb/arb cases.
Requires detailed transaction research, analytical skills, and documentation of actions taken including direct communication with partners, merchants, acquirers, and others as appropriate.
Applies knowledge of bank and card industry regulations, rules, and practices in the completion of daily tasks.
When available, performs a variety of Operational support tasks including, but not limited to, account maintenance and merchant onboarding.
Performs and compiles ad hoc and recurring analysis on chargeback-related activity for use by the business in identifying patterns and improving overall customer service.
Mentors and provides subject matter guidance to junior members of the Chargeback and Operations Team in Sofia.
When required, organizes and leads inter-departmental and intra-departmental chargeback and operations specific training sessions.
May aid line manager by attending meetings as delegate/team representative.
Opines and advices on projects, initiatives and escalated cases impacting chargebacks and operations.
Collaborates with and assists other US Payment Processing Operations team leaders located in Sofia.

Your qualification:
5+ years of experience in chargeback processing, risk management, compliance and/or operations in the banking, payments, or electronic/crypto-currency industries.
2+ years of team leadership or managerial experience.
Advanced understanding of chargeback/dispute rules and regulations pertaining to major card brands (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express) in the United States.
Advanced understanding of card-present (“CP”) and card-not-present (“CNP”) merchant business models.
Advanced understanding of back-office operations within the financial services industry.
Understanding of PCI-DSS.
Knowledge and proficiency in MS Excel, Tableau, MS PowerPoint, SQL and/or additional analytical systems.
Excellent English (written and verbal) communication.
Familiarity with business reporting.
Strong interest and knowledge in the FinTech/payments industry.
Resourcefulness and critical thinking skills.

Ability to operate under pressure and meet deadlines/SLAs.
Passion for continued learning.
Ability to thrive in a team environment and as an individual contributor.
Keen organization and time management skills.
Willingness to work evening or overnight hours.

Four-year degree from an accredited college/university, or equivalent military time served.
Desirable Requirements & Competencies
Advanced degree from an accredited college/university, or equivalent military time served.
10+ years of experience in chargeback processing, risk management, compliance and/or operations in the banking, payments, or electronic/crypto-currency industries.
Advanced proficiency in business process management.
5+ years of team leadership or managerial experience.
