On behalf of our client, international company providing cryptocurrency based financial services, we are looking for an experienced and responsible professional for the position Head of Risk Management.

Main Responsibilities:
• Defining and documenting business and risk processes and controls, assessing and developing risk frameworks, making, and presenting recommendations to senior stakeholders and ensuring financial regulatory compliance through the deployment of risk management tools and techniques;
• Collaborating across all departments covering Accounting, Finance, Treasury, Banking, Operations, Credit/Risk, Technology, Compliance and Enterprise Risk Management teams;
• Identify and propose solutions to the management of risks across our EU acquiring payment processing business and will report into the division Finance lead;
• Providing a clear understanding of the Risk landscape to the business to drive good practice through risk transformation, advisory and implementation;
• Monitoring the regulatory environment to ensure awareness of future developments and that potential impacts on the business are addressed in a timely and appropriate manner;
• Ensuring that relevant policies are understood, communicated, embedded, and complied with across the various departments of the organization;
• Leading the business in developing and implementing Risk methodology and requirements for the EU region. This includes key activity such as risk identification, scenario analysis, risk appetite and reporting processes. This is to ensure material risk are effectively identified, measured, managed, and reported to senior management.

Qualifications and Skills:
• Bachelor's degree in economics, finance, law, business management or related fields;
• 8+ years of experience working for risk department;
• 3+ years of experience in Operational Risk, Quality Assurance, Operations Management in a financial services or consulting setting;
• Experience within the technology. fintech and cryptoassets industry would be highly desirable;
• Fluency in English;
• Ability to think creatively and provide business-friendly and solution-oriented advice;
• Adaptivity and excitement to work in a fast-paced startup environment;
• Vendor management policy and process, with an emphasis on Risk Engines (Strong Advantage);
• Have a strong skills in collecting and analyzing data, interpreting and expressing analysis results;
• Highly numerate, with strong quantitative and spreadsheet skills, with the ability to analyze, interpret and present data in a readily digestible format using the latest charting/diagrammatic presentation techniques;
• Strong communication and leadership skills;
• Outstanding analytical, prioritizing, problem-solving and planning skills;
• Attention to details and perseverance.
