Position Title: Head of Internal Communications EMEA & APAC
This role is flexible on locations within EMEA
We are looking for a Head of Internal Communications for Experian’s EMEA & APAC region - an exciting, diverse and growing region in Experian’s business, which comprises of 22 countries with more than 4500 employees.
Why this role is important to us:
The role will be responsible for creating and delivering an effective internal communications and engagement strategy, directly supporting the EMEA & APAC CEO. You will translate the vision and strategy for the region into inspiring and compelling communications which enables our employees to connect to the purpose of our organisation.
This is a hands-on role - from developing the communications strategy and framework, to writing and creating materials, to posting them on our channels, ensuring all of the day to day announcements are effectively delivered.
You will be a member of a team of five people in the HR function, dedicated to developing the culture and people in the region. You will have one direct report who will partner and support you on the delivery of our strategy.
What you’ll be doing?
A key component to your role will be the ability to influence and support at Executive level. You will help our leadership to get their teams excited about our purpose, products and innovation within the business.
You will partner with our global team to ensure that we have effective corporate communications in place to manage any corporate announcement and change initiatives as well as day to day operational communications.
Partnering with our CEO and Executive Leadership team to bring their agenda’s to life and help employees connect to them as leaders.
You will run our communication channels, making sure we are being as innovative and creative as possible in bringing our communications to life.
You will ensure that all of our employees are given the information they need and understand what actions they need to take in their day to day roles.
Working across multiple time zones will mean that you will need to have a flexible and dynamic approach to work. You can work from home or from one of our great offices when you need to collaborate with colleagues and partners.
We are looking for applications from candidates located in Europe, South Africa or India.
This is a great opportunity for an individual who is an experienced internal communications practitioner, who is also keen to grow and develop their career heading up a regional communications function in a FTESE 30 company.
What you’ll bring?
What you’ll need to bring to the role
You will bring a balance of great technical communications skills (writing, presenting, campaign development, storytelling) with a strong strategic understanding and ability.
Having previous experience leading communications in organisations, you will be experienced in successfully partnering with C suite leaders and CEOs.
You can confidently navigate a large corporate and matrixed organization, collaborating across a network of global and regional stakeholders.
You will bring creativity and innovation to the way we communicate, looking for ways to humanize and personalize messages to help employees connect to our purpose and leaders.
You will have previous experience of working with EMEA and / or APAC audiences, understanding and appreciating the cultural nuances and the challenges of working across multiple countries.
You will have a passion for developing and supporting your team members, having managed people
