Our client Pharmaplast is an Egyptian company that specializes in the production of medical consumables. They have a large customer base in 85 countries around the world.

For their location in Bulgaria, we are looking for candidates from the region of Southwest Bulgaria, for the position:

Operations Manager


The Operations Manager will oversee the production and manufacturing processes within our facility, ensuring that medical devices are produced efficiently, cost-effectively, and to the highest quality standards. They will be instrumental in driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Job responsibilities:

- Manage day-to-day operations of the manufacturing plant, ensuring products meet quality, safety, and efficiency standards;
- Develop and implement process improvements to reduce costs and increase productivity;
- Collaborate with R&D, Quality Assurance, and Regulatory Affairs to ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies;
- Lead and develop a diverse team of supervisors, technicians, and production staff;
- Monitor production metrics and implement strategies to achieve production targets and KPIs;
- Coordinate with supply chain management to ensure timely availability of materials;
- Oversee equipment maintenance and calibration to ensure uninterrupted production;
- Implement lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies;
- Manage budget and forecast production needs.

What we are looking for:

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Management, or related field;
- 8 or more years of experience in operations management;
- Proven track record of leading teams and improving manufacturing processes;
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills;
- Experience with ERP systems and proficiency in MS Office;
- A strategic thinker with the ability to drive change and innovation;
- Problem-solving mindset with a focus on results;
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data;
- Exceptional leadership qualities with a focus on team building and empowerment.
