Our client provides solutions which facilitate commerce between the world's biggest companies and the suppliers who support them.
For their new Sofia based office we are looking for:
Engineering Manager
Responsibilities:
- Inspire, manage and foster a team of enormously skilled engineers.
- Systematically leverage Agile and Scrum development principles to set priorities and deliver superior quality product iterations.
- Be a technical leader for the team. Be able to contribute as someone that writes code, performs code reviews, advises on technology, and enforces best practices and patterns.
- Do whatever is necessary, at all tiers, to scale the company’s globally deployed solution running in the cloud.
- Lead by example and inspire people to do their best.
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience in a professional software engineering team (1+ of which as a Scrum Master).
- Experience building software that’s successfully deployed in large deployments.
- You are always looking for new and better ways to do things, and love automation: continuous integration, automated testing & deployment and TDD are all old hat to you.
- You’ve built a cloud-based product before and stuck around to scale it as well.
- You are very strong in middle-tier, back-end and database (SQL and noSQL) interactions.
- You work within distributed systems leveraging messaging, MapReduce and other 'data crunching' technologies.
Advantages:
- You’ve used our tools: Groovy, Java, Cassandra, MySQL, Jersey, Spring, Hibernate, ActiveMQ, Grails.
- Experience building Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable or other financial software.
- Experience mentoring other software engineers.
