Job Duties:
• Defines system features and functionality by analyzing business and functional requirements;
• Coordinates requirements, schedules, development and end-to-end testing activities;
• Participates in software architecture design, development and testing of mobile applications;
• Works in strict accordance with standards and technical specifications;
• Interfaces and communicates with product management and UX/UI designers, utilizing agile development methodology;
• Troubleshoots development and production problems across multiple environments and operating platforms;
• Provides application maintenance, end-user support, documentation and assistance tools.
Skills/Qualifications:
• Thorough knowledge of Android SDK through the latest version;
• Expert knowledge of Java;
• Experience taking a mobile application from concept to finished product;
• One or more mobile applications released on the Android market;
• Ability to work successfully in a team environment or alone;
• Self-motivation to learn about new Android features and follow the development of the platform.
Job Requirements:
• University degree in Programming, Computer Science, Informatics, or related field of study;
• Experience developing Java-based mobile applications using J2ME, Android, or iOS;
• 3+ years of experience with Java;
• 2+ years of experience with embedded or mobile application development;
• 1+ years of experience with Android;
• Experience integrating mobile apps with web services;
• Expertise with mobile client/server architecture;
• Experience with source code version control systems;
• Self-motivation to work in a rapidly changing environment, sometimes with little direction;
• Ability to provide input on prioritization of features with strong sense of user-centered design;
• Ability to investigate another developer's code, understand it, critique it and continue development on the application;
• Ability to work independently, set timelines and execute to plan;
• Familiarity with using, troubleshooting and specifying APIs;
• Passion for working with highly qualified passionate people;
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.
