Position Title: Financial Controls Analyst
The UK government is proposing a requirement that UK-listed companies adopt an Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR) framework, similar to the Sarbanes-Oxley one in place for US-listed companies.

This role will provide a unique opportunity to work in a high-profile change programme with multiple project workstreams, with exposure to both global & regional senior finance management, as well as a cross-section of Group functions (both finance & non-finance).

What you’ll be doing?
Input into the definition of best practice standard for Experian Risk & Control Matrices (RACMs).
Own the continuous feedback from the review to ensure the RACMs are completed to standards first time.
Ensuring all RACMs are signed off and stored according to a defined sign off framework as well as communicated to key stakeholders.
Develop training and related collateral to support continuous improvement of the ICFR RACMs.
Analysis of the RACMs to provide in-depth understanding of the content and next steps required.
Creating reporting to provide insight into risks and related controls across ICFR scope.
Working closely with the Financial Controls Analyst and Leadership team as well as other controls teams to define and develop RACM best practice
Helping shape the ICFR framework that is developed and adopted, and thereby becoming an expert for the broader finance community in the way of working required to adhere to Experian’s ICFR framework.
Identifying opportunities to drive standardisation & global consistency in the risk and control matrices and create training to support the continuous improvement.
Working with data insight and the Tooling system to create in-depth risk and controls insight for ICFR stakeholders.

What you’ll bring?
Accountancy qualification or equivalent - preferably including either an audit background (be that external and/or internal audit) and/or corporate experience in an internal controls function.
A strong communicator who can work effectively with all levels of the organisation, adapting their style accordingly.
Able to work independently, with a proactive approach to providing updates & feedback to senior global and regional stakeholders.
Experience of delivering a change agenda that involves having to successfully influence a range of stakeholders who are not in their reporting line.
Understanding of process and controls tooling options, with experience in design, implementation and supporting tooling solutions.
Excellent English, spoken and written
