For one of our clients we are looking for Mechanical Design Engineer.

Requirements:

• University degree in science or mechanical engineering;
• Excellent knowledge of design and development processes with specialty in plastic 3D modeling;
• Creo and/or CATIA V5 software modules: 3D modeling, drafting and automotive product design experience;
• Basic knowledge of thermal, mechanical and magnetic simulations - Ansys;
• Very good knowledge in plastic materials choice;
• Deep understanding of the plastic manufacturing process;
• Experience in manufacturing environment;
• Good computer skills (general purpose and specialized software);
• Knowledge of English.

General purpose of the job:

• Design and Develop mechanical products and validate mechanical technical choices.

Main duties and responsibilities:

• Participate during the feasibility study of new products;
• Design and Develop products respecting customer’s specifications and the development rules;
• Perform DFMEA and risk analysis for new products;
• Conduct engineering analysis, sizing, calculations and materials selection;
• Work in close collaboration with the tool makers for achieving best manufacturability of the product;
• Document the results of the designed products;
• Work in relation with the customer for technical added value, respecting project rules set by the Project Leader;
• Work closely with the plant at the beginning of the development (process engineer, test engineer, project leader) to assure at the end of the development a good transfer of product in the plant;
• Give an approval of the developed products in his area;
• Follow up the Quality and Environmental Policy of the company.

Main authorities:

• Participate in the development of the technologic roadmap;
• Propose implementation of new methods and techniques for continuous improvement and process control;
• Receive all the information required for its tasks execution;
• Improve its qualification according to the approved programs.
