Position Purpose & Summary
The OT Postfixture liquidator is a function connected to Operations with global responsibilities and presence in our key execution locations.
As part of Operations, the Postfixture Liquidator has primary role to issue PFHS and running hires, negotiate and settle with Owners in Cargill’s best interest. In addition, corrects and reflects all revenues and expenses in the voyage PnL after voyage completion, closely consulting internally and by communicating with brokers, agents, vessel operators and credit control functions. Main accountability on managing the Postfixture backlog within the operations scope.
Principal Accountabilities
Responsible for raising hires and PFHS, negotiation with Owners in Cargill’s favor.
Closely follow up with below counterparties to expedite the voyages finalization:
- Owners;
- Vessel and Laytime Operators – to obtain accurate information about provisions, claims, status updates on unsettled items;
- Credit control functions to update the PnL where needed;
- COE, claims department;
- External parties to settle all outstanding amounts (payable/receivable);
Reflect the work done through a task management system
Qualifications
University degree in Shipping
Fluent English - spoken/written, other languages are considered an advantage
Min 2 years’ experience in a shipping/trading environment.
Strong communication skills
Attention to detail
Computer Literate
Organization agility
Shipping experience in voyage/time chartering is considered an advantage;
Understanding of the financial elements of voyage/time chartering;
Organizational agility, detail oriented, relationship building mindset, nimble and adaptable.
