For a trusted partner of ours - a leading company in the retail sector in Bulgaria, we are looking for an experienced Team Lead Strategic Insights.


Overview of the role:
The Team Lead Strategic Insights oversees market research projects, understands the results from multiple perspectives, and implements findings into daily work. The Team Lead Strategic Insights overseas market data analysis and reporting;
Assess attractive consumer opportunities that are currently untapped by our company or our customers;
Be the driver of Business Plan and Vision processes at the local Operations level, covering entire categories; private labels portfolio of brands, and aligning locally behind key CEE strategies top-down and embedding bottom-up local strategies;
Initiate and perform qualitative and quantitative studies with the store managers regularly;
Market research and evaluation of the potential of the market – areas where we plan to open new stores standard and mini concept – supermarkets;
Utilize a broad set of analytical tools/techniques for data mining, data cleansing, data extraction, analysis & transformation, data interpretation & insights, and turn-key bundled analytic & reporting solutions;
Ensuring continuous follow-up and sound analysis of shopper, competitive, and trade data;
Business development analysis – e.g potential for expansion
The Team Lead Strategic Insights is managing the Strategic Insights department budget.
Main tasks related to the team and Market Research:
The Team Lead Strategic Insights is responsible for reflecting business needs in comprehensive briefings to market research institutes or within the organization;
Translates findings from market research into business-applicable solutions and fact-based decisions;
The Team Lead Strategic Insights is responsible for defining roadmaps, setting priorities for the market research project, and ensuring that they are aligned with company strategy;
The Team Lead Strategic Insights understands the broad possibilities of market data and plays an active role in defining standards for reporting, and analysis and ensures their usage in daily business;
The Team Lead Strategic Insights is familiar with the market research tools, approaches, and data sources used within the group and continuously seeks new opportunities on the market;
Works closely with field marketing to implement campaign execution frameworks and best practice lead management and follow-up processes;
Work with stakeholders to gather various test requirements and success metrics, and size the opportunity of tests for prioritization.
Establishes dynamic and open team culture based on a cooperative and constructive working environment
Active participation in the recruitment process for all positions from his team;
The Team Lead Strategic Insights leads and constantly develops his subordinates;
Ensures that the company strategy is understood by the whole team.

Requirements:
Professional experience in market and marketing research;
High-level knowledge and understanding of market data;
Substantial knowledge of the local retail business environment;
English skills are mandatory, and German is advantageous;
Affinity to technology and strong analytical and practical skills (PowerBI, Tableau, Excel – Expert Level, etc.) are desired;
University degree (Business, Commerce, Trade, Marketing) is a great benefit;
Driving Licence B is a plus;
An open-minded personality with leadership experience;
Able to understand, develop, and provide insights on complicated concepts and ideas;
High organizational, analytical, and coordination skills as well as a diligent, independent, and goal-oriented way of working;
Performs well under pressure and works effectively in a changing environment;
Reliable, innovative, creative, and proactive.
