The HR Assistant fulfils a number of support roles in the department including timely and accurate administrative assistance for HR related responsibilities in the area of tourism. The Assistant will report to the HR Manager.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Assists with processing new hires; prepares new employee files; maintains employee database records.
· Completes the requests of the Manager and processes paperwork.
· Coordinates with the Accounting Department.
· Performs customer service functions by answering requests and questions by phone or e-mail.
· Creates reports in Word and Microsoft Excel.
· Performs other duties as assigned.


REQUIREMENTS:
· Problem solving and interpersonal skills.
· Proficiency in English is mandatory - please, note that a degree in English Philology is insufficient evidence for fluency; preferably, the perfect candidate will be a holder of CAE and / or TOEFL. Excellent Arabic would be an advantage.
· Excellent time management skills, adaptability and dependability.
· Good knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, as well as Internet and E-mail.


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
· High School diploma required. Some post-secondary education preferred.
· At least two years of previous administrative support in a similar job function; HR preferred.
