• Level 1 (6 months): Then you will be given your individual project and play on the battlefield straight away. Of course, we will help you pick-up and conquer challenges.

• Should you show great results at level 1, your contract might be extended for another six months, leading you to Level 2 (Month 7-12): This will be your time to shine and showcase all you have learned so far. Expect to jump-over a raised bar.

Job scope/summary:

As a “Demand Planning Intern” at HP’s Customer Support Supply Chain (CSSC) Organization for the Personal Systems Platform, you will receive opportunities to apply your creative thinking and analytical skills.

The Services Supply Chain ships more than 9M parts, processes 650k whole unit repair events globally per year through an extensive network of outsourcing partners.

The Demand Planning Specialist will be responsible to develop an end-user demand forecast using demand signals with help of statistical models and latest technology tools.

Job specifics/responsibilities:

• Manage a broad range of moderately complex supply chain processes, such as demand planning activities for multiple, complex Stock Keeping Unit (SKUs), ensuring that performance (inventory, cost, service level etc.) meets the overall business needs, including but not limited to: Demand Forecasting, E & O material management, successful launch and positing of material to support new product launches, End of Support Life (EOSL) material management, lifetime Buy (LTB’s) and monitoring and risk management of same
• Leverage historical forecast data, end-user demand, market and product intelligence, statistical forecasting inputs, AI and Machine Learning to create a robust process and drive continued, sustained accuracy improvements on material demand plans
• Work closely with the partner management team to assure alignment and assurance of supply of service materials
• Work closely with regional network inventory management team to assure LOF and other service material supply requirements are met
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and develop recommendations
• Coordinate or lead regional and global business unit planning teams to maintain and enhance the current business processes
• Review performance metrics regularly, identifying opportunities for improvement
• Lead or support projects
• Communicate requirements & guidelines to the regional and global business unit planning teams
• Collaborate across countries within a region
• Ability to influence a particular business within a region
• Typically interact with Managers and Directors
• Utilize the full range of quantitative and qualitative business models and analyses to contribute to large projects

Education (degree) and professional experience required:

• Current 2nd and 3rd year or Master's university students preferably in Business related majors


Other requirements:

• Fluent English
• Forecast accuracy
• Excess & Obsolescence (E&O) driven by Forecast Accuracy
• Level of Fill (LOF) impact driven by forecast Accuracy
• Process Improvements

• Strong Analytics, communication and influencing skills
• Proven relationship management skills
• Business acumen and technical knowledge within the area of responsibility
• Technical skills (procedures and documents the employee has to be acquainted with):

Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
