The Front-end Developer collaborates with other resources like UX Architects and developers, ensuring a balance of outstanding usability with excellent interaction design. Within internal products and tools the Front-end Developer is responsible for making software relevant and usable. He or she is an expert and evangelist for interactive design and delivers production-quality code assets and products in short release cycles. He or she uses the understanding of current interactive design trends in mobile, web and desktop applications to translate needs and requirements into a design that is useful, professional and aligned with the overall brand message of the product. The Front-end Developer must be very strong in communicating the rationale of deliverables to product owners. The individual evangelizes about UX and front-end practices via speaking engagements at conferences and through blogs, webinars and internal/external training.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Produce high-quality interactive designs for Infragistics products
• Support development through CSS asset creation and bug fixing
• Produce semantic and maintainable code
• Work autonomously with little-to-no oversight
• Collaborate and iterate with interdisciplinary team and communicate ideas and rationale effectively
• Collaborate with UX Architects in gathering user requirements and ideating interaction concepts
• Present work to key stakeholders & project owners
• Mentor less experienced designers
• Evangelize front-end, visual design and UX through blog posts, conference presentations and internal training sessions.

Qualifications:

• BA/BFA in Design related field
• 5-8 years of industry experience
• Ability to handcraft clean HTML 5/CSS 3 ; Sass / Less
• Experience with Bootstrap 3 and Responsive Design
• Experience with Ionic and Angular 2.0 is a plus
• jQuery / Javascript is a plus
• Cross-platform browser testing
• Functional, clean design sense
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Experience working in a user centered design process
• Working knowledge of current and previous design trends
• Experience working remotely with international team is a plus
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment without sacrificing quality
• Used to working with Scrum methodologies
• Strong English skills
