Our software development teams are fast-paced, integrated, cross-functional teams working on cutting edge UI technologies to deliver high quality software on a regular cadence. As a developer tools product owner, you are embedded with the dev teams as a core driver of awesomeness for your products. You work directly with team leads, architects, and developers to craft the best possible developer experiences with a key focus on API productivity and usability. You ensure that we focus our design, dev, and testing efforts on the right user stories and that we have useful docs & samples to help developers be as effective as they can be. You are the go-to person for your products when it comes to understanding what developers want and need.

Your Primary Responsibilities:

• Interact with developer customers to understand their needs, desires, goals, and requirements and translate those into effective backlog items with user stories and acceptance criteria based on real-world application development scenarios.
• With director of product management and related product owners, prioritize and direct the work of product teams based on backlogs and incoming/emergent needs.
• Guide end-user and developer/API design and clarify requirements throughout the development process.
• Review test plans, documentation, and samples to ensure sufficient coverage to help developers use your product.
• Develop samples/sample applications that use your product to ensure top-notch developer and end-user experience and share those with customers via blogging and other means.
• Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies through social media, Web sites, blogs, forums, magazines, etc. that are related to the product to better understand common customer needs and help inform product strategy.
• Collaborate with and empower marketing, sales, evangelism, and developer support to ensure the success of your product in the market.

Requirements:

• A positive, can-do outlook laser-focused on delighting our customers and inspiring empathy with customers in all team members to deliver the most satisfying and easy to use product on the market.
• At least three years of real-world business Web application development, preferably as a consultant or across multiple projects within an enterprise.
• Have a high proficiency with English, both written and spoken.
• Should have at least one year on-the-job experience on Agile Scrum/Lean teams and processes.
• At least one year experience with Microsoft Team Foundation Server or comparable work item management tools.
• Prior experience as a product owner is a huge plus.
• A drive for self and team improvement and active engagement in ongoing improvement.
• Understanding and commitment to Infragistics values, vision, and mission.
