For one of our most trusted clients Atlas Copco Customer Center and their Compressor Technique Business Area, we are seeking a motivated professional for the role:

Chief Accountant

The role will be part of Compressor Technique local management team and will report to Regional Business Controller for South East Europe.

Mission

To lead implementation, structure and drive of the Business Control and Finance & Accounting processes within Atlas Copco Bulgaria for Compressor Technique (CT) business area. Through accurate, relevant and timely business and financial analysis to support the management in making effective business decisions. Secure that adequate internal control processes are in place and that Group’s processes are implemented. To participate in business activities and thereby actively contribute in developing the business in accordance with the strategy and targets. To raise red flags to operational management whenever compliance with sound business principles are at risk.

These will be your tasks

Take leadership of the development, implementation and follow up of accounting processes.
Establish and execute the local company accounting policy.
Develop local chart of accounts.
Responsible for the development and implementation of Atlas Copco Group’s standards for reporting and forecasting processes, procedures and tools.
Provide a Pro-active review and transparent analysis of the Business trends. Pro-actively review and analyze the consolidated GP, market contribution and market efficiency.
Ensure tax compliance, keeping abreast of changes in regulations and legislation.
Create a solid expectancy process / forecast comparing it with the actual.
Review, investigates and correct errors and inconsistencies in ERP system records, documents and reports.
Promote transparency in facts and figures to ensure a decision process based on adequate and objective information.
In charge of the daily bookkeeping operations.
Approve/close all transactions in ERP system ledgers – General Ledger, Sales and Service module, Purchase ledger and Stock ledger and determine proper handling of transactions.
Ensure that appropriate risk awareness and internal control procedures are in place and that external and internal auditors get necessary support.
Responsibilities further include assets management, inventories and receivables.
Develop external relations with auditors, banking institutions, etc.
Monitoring cash flow. Examine, evaluate and process loan applications and financial instruments.
Being in close cooperation with the Sales, After Sales and Logistics departments.
In charge of HR administration processes and local legal requirements related to employment. Responsible for all Hire to Retire processes related to HR administration & legal (maintaining employee files, payroll, employment contracts, reporting to authorities,etc).

Education, knowledge and experience required

Experience from working in Finance/Accounting. Minimum 3 years of experience as an accountant.
University degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration.
Certified to execute Accounting job locally.
Knowledge of local accounting/fiscal rules.
Proven track record in focus on quality, accuracy and working with deadlines.
Excellent knowledge of MS Office.
Knowledge of SAP applications is considered and advantage.
Languages: native in Bulgarian and very good knowledge of English language.
