We, at Cargotec, are looking for a talented Finance and Accounting Trainee, who strives to develop and grow in an international and respectful organisation. The trainee will become part of one of our RTR (record-to-report) teams, which are responsible for accounting for and coordination of month-end general ledger close, and preparation of balance sheet reconciliations. Our accountants have the end-to-end view of the accounting process and the financial statements, so the Trainee will have the opportunity to engage in diverse and challenging activities.

Our traineeship program provides opportunities for a flexible schedule – we are looking for a trainee to join us for a 4-hour working day (20 hours per week).

Main tasks and responsibilities:
Support accounting services for selected processes and countries, which may include coordination of month-end general ledger close, preparing balance sheet reconciliations
Work closely with Accountants and Senior Accountants to develop knowledge of the accounting area and to gain practical experience
Assist with monthly, quarterly and year-end financial reporting
Assist in preparation of analysis explaining data obtained against prior periods and budgets.
Get used to working with advanced technical systems such as SAP;

What you’ll need to succeed:
To be enrolled in a Bachelor Degree in Finance / Accounting / Business or to be in your last years of studies
No previous experience required
Full professional proficiency of written and oral English language required
Problem solving, organisational and communication skills
Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PPT) or Google Workspace tools
Proactiveness and ability to work both in team and independently
Display a strong work ethic and self-motivation
Ability to meet strict deadlines.
