We are currently looking for a Financial Controls Expert to join our growing team!

The focus of the role is:
Input to the definition of the programme scope, workstreams & timelines.
Interface with the various impacted stakeholders, ensuring that a full set of information is collated to help inform the direction of the programme.
Contribute to process and controls tooling review, decisions and subsequent tooling design and implementation.
Develop the standard collateral with which stakeholders need to work in the subsequent implementation phases, including migrating content into the chosen tooling solutions.
Ensuring that assigned workstreams are delivered to the agreed timetable, whilst maintaining a clear & effective channel of communication with the various stakeholders involved.
Assessing the operating effectiveness of the agreed controls once we transition into the pilot phase.

Main role responsibilities:
Working closely with the regional finance teams to agree the prioritisation of in-scope activity & the timeline over which activity will be undertaken.
Working closely with the assigned Programme Manager to ensure that progress of the in-scope activities is clearly communicated to the Steering Committee and other relevant stakeholders.
Helping shape the ICFR framework that is developed and adopted, and thereby becoming an expert for the broader finance community in the way of working required to adhere to Experian’s ICFR framework.
Identifying opportunities to drive standardisation & global consistency in the processes, controls & level of automation associated with our use of the global financial reporting systems.
Inputting into the selection of effective process and controls tooling and supporting the design and implementation of the chosen solutions to meet the needs of the ICFR framework.

Role requirements:
Professional accountancy qualification or equivalent - preferably including either an audit background (be that external and/or internal audit) and/or corporate experience in an internal controls function.
Experience in either a large multinational organisation or a company with a matrix business structure.
A results-focussed individual, with a mindset that challenges the status quo and who a strong courage of conviction, particularly in times of ambiguity and/or when under challenge from stakeholders.
A strong communicator who can work effectively with all levels of the organisation, adapting their style accordingly.
Able to work independently, with a proactive approach to providing updates & feedback to senior global and regional stakeholders.
Experience of delivering a change agenda that involves having to successfully influence a range of stakeholders who are not in their reporting line.
Understanding of process and controls tooling options, with experience in design, implementation and supporting tooling solutions.
