The office in Sofia, Bulgaria was established in August 2017 and has over 300 employees now. Our teams provide world-class global business services in the areas of Finance, Human Resources, Indirect Procurement, Third Party Risk Management, Information Management and Master Data Management.

MacGregor has been part of Cargotec since 2005. In 2023 Cargotec decided to separate its three business areas into separate companies. We are therefore preparing MacGregor for the new era.

Shipbuilders, shipowners and operators are able to optimise the lifetime profitability, safety, reliability and environmental sustainability of their operations by working in close cooperation with MacGregor.

We are looking for an ambitious, experienced, and visionary Solution Architect for HR solutions and solutions for other functions like for example Communications, Sustainability etc. within our Corporate Solutions domain. This position’s purpose is to shape the future solution roadmap and develop solution landscapes that align with the business's strategic goals. It requires strong system and HR process knowledge, customer support skills, and a commitment to development and training. The role involves participating in solution design, providing HRIS expertise, and ensuring HRIS development complies with HR policies and guidelines.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

Technology

Contributing in the selection of the new IT technologies in the nominated solutions areas (HRIS, other systems);
Contributing in managing and developing existing IT technologies in the nominated solution areas;
Support in managing the technology- and service vendors in these areas in close cooperation with MacGregor platform owners;
Owning the solution architecture for the defined area;
Own the integration processes in the defined solution area.
Development

Drive the strategic solution architecture in HRIS area + other nominated systems and support business processes with in particular HR requirements;
Secure that future domain solutions are supporting MacGregor business requirements and work in close collaboration with functional process owners, Enterprise Architecture and available solution expert team(s);
Develop a solution strategy and roadmap for the defined area of responsibility. Ensure solution development according to agreed roadmap, architectural guidelines and business priorities as well as quality and on-time-delivery of deliverables;
Participate in developing the Solution Architecture competence, processes and way of working in MacGregor;
Own and prioritise development initiatives and execution against agreed targets;
Contribute in financial planning of the solution area for development roadmap and run services;
Coordinate the development initiatives on different technologies and collaborate with external vendors;
Project management of assigned development projects.
Support
Coordinate super users and key user network in the solution area(-s) together with platform- and other solution architects / owners;
Cooperate with MacGregor IM Services to secure trouble free operations of the applications and integrations and quality IT support services.
Leadership

Lead and coach virtual teams within the solution domain responsibility
Manage communication and prioritisation towards the stakeholders
Responsible for creating and maintaining excellent relationships with the stakeholders

What you’ll need to succeed

Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in suitable academic area
5+ years of hands-on experience of solution development in HR information system area (preferably SAP Successfactors)
Strong understanding of HR processes
Experience from team leading and working with HR service centres is seen as a benefit
Experience from some of the following tools is an added advantage:
Cornerstone
Integration platforms
Knowhow to translate process and functional requirements into technical specifications
Excellent communication skills and fluent in English - both written and verbal
Ability to combine 'big picture' thinking with detailed analysis
A can-do attitude with a positive and collaborative approach to working with colleagues
Strong understanding of HR systems and best practises
Strong analytical skills and a data driven mindset
