Legal adviser/ Senior legal adviser in Consumer and Investor Protection department
Requirements for the position:

•Master’s degree in Law and 3/5 years of experience in a financial institution, solid knowledge and understanding of Bulgarian and EU legislation on Banking, Consumer Lending, Payment Services, Personal Data Protection.
•Good communications and business writing skills, including in English
•Ability to work effectively without direct supervision using good judgment
•High level of accuracy and great attention to detail
•Strong analytical and problem solving skills
•Effective time management and organizational skills
•Ability to cope with pressure resulting from meeting tight deadlines
•High degree of professionalism and confidentiality in handling sensitive information
•Competence using MS Office programsThe candidate should demonstrate exemplary teamwork in facilitating efficient workflow, high level of cooperation with others and responsiveness to the Bank’s needs



Main responsibilities:


•Regularly reviews applicable laws and regulatory acts and keeps abreast of changes, including in discussion phase
•Ability to comprehend and interpret complex regulatory requirements into Bank policies and procedures
•Researches, recommends or develops changes to policies and procedures
•Researches and responds to questions
•Oversees areas of expertise to ensure the compliance program is fully implemented
•Reviews new products, marketing materials and other forms of communications for regulatory compliance
•Identifies/investigates activity that can be indicative of compliance problems, recommends practical solutions for compliance
•Assists with the content, implementation and delivery of compliance training
•When requested, drafts written reports
•Maintains a collaborative environment, sharing ideas and assisting peers
•Exercises sound judgment and ensures the integrity of confidential information
•Deals with change and handles stressful situations with a professional demeanor
•Performs all other job duties as assigned by the manager
