Mechanical Design Engineer - Mechanization
Responsibilities:

• Designs mechanical assembly and test equipment for industrial applications;
• Modifies existing designs to meet customer requirements and to improve performance, quality, and cost;
• Verify equipment performance;
• Maintain product documentation (drawings and specifications);
• Support and oversee build; de-bug equipment;
• This position requires you to specify, design, supervise build, and debug the manufacturing equipment the company uses to assemble and test our devices. In all cases you will be working as part of a cross functional team; in some cases you will be the team leader. You will support the projects from inception through installation and debug (which will likely be in an offshore location).

Requirements:

• Ideal candidate will have 3 – 8 years of experience in related field.
• Strong comprehension of engineering principles required, prior work experience in a design environment a big plus.
• Collaborate effectively with team members while maintaining strong sense of individual responsibility.
• Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with superiors, subordinates, suppliers, and customers.
• Understanding of Mechanical Engineering principles, materials, mechanics, and heat transfer. Skill with basic electrical circuits is a plus. Experience/proficiency with SolidWorks.
• Will need to travel internationally up to 10% in support of equipment debug and installation.
