For a client of ours – a global software standalone company, established itself as a leader in the endpoint security space, we are on the look-out for an experienced Software Engineer(Java || Python) . The company product portfolio includes a rapidly growing platform that delivers next-generation endpoint protection capabilities from the cloud. Their fairly new Cyber Security products development team in Bulgaria is growing and they’re looking forward to meet their new coworker who possesses a comprehensive knowledge and skills in Java, Python and others.



What you will be doing:

· Architect, implement, support, and enhance a data platform reporting and analytics;

· Build and maintain data pipelines to ingest and refresh data and metrics from a variety of data sources;

· Enable self-service reporting and analytics while ensuring proper access controls are in place and enforced.

· Develop and implement tests to ensure data quality across all integrated data sources.

· Contribute to product direction in design discussions.

· Collaborate with team to build upon and improve microservices architecture.

· Participate in all phases of the software development cycle as part of a Scrum team.

· Proactively move the technology base to use the latest tools and frameworks for best performance; considering costs and scale.



Ideally, your skills will include:

· Experience as a Software Engineer 3+ years;

· Experience with Java and/or Python particularly in relation to data processing;

· Experience with SQL;

· Good understanding of storage systems;

· Experience with relational databases and some knowledge of non-relational databases;

· Experience with distributed systems and service oriented architectures / miroservices and synchronous / asynchronous communication patterns such as REST, Protobuf, Kafka or Kinesis;

· Ability to work with minimal supervision, making decisions based upon priorities, schedules and an understanding of business initiatives;

· Ability to apply critical thinking to all aspects of the position;

· Detail oriented with excellent documentation skills/methodologies, who can successfully manage multiple priorities.



Bonus Points For:

· Experience with AWS services;

· Some knowledge of Infrastructure As Code tooling such as Terraform.
