TRANSLATOR WITH PORTUGUESE OR SPANISH

Position summary

You will be a member of a multinational team and will be responsible for converting written material from the source language into the target language. You should also make sure that the translated version conveys the meaning of the original as clearly as possible.

Major Tasks:

You will translate material utilizing specific domain and client terminology to ensure consistency during translation.
You will ensure the translated material reflects the desired intent and will be responsible for self-reviewing.
You will review material translated by other specialists.
You will edit documents directly and/or provide continuous improvement feedback to the original translator.
You will direct work between internal translators and external language service providers based on requirements.
You will manage deliverables and communications.
You will modify the layout of text and images to fit translate material.

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in translation/linguistic studies,
2+ years of full-time professional experience in translating,
Fluency in English and Portuguese or Spanish,
Self-motivated and able work to deadlines,
Ability to grasp new concepts quickly including technical terminology,
Clear writing style with impeccable knowledge of spelling and grammar,
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe products,
Articulate and effective communication skills with an appreciation for cultural dynamics,
Very good presentation skills.
