Our partner is an international logistics & transportation company with a Shared Services Center structure based in Sofia, Bulgaria. For their team, we are looking for an experienced lawyer to join the company on the position of:

Lawyer in a Shared Services Center – Balkans region




The person we are looking for:

Master of Law;
Fluent English;
5-8 years of experience in international corporate/trade/real estate law;
Autonomous, pragmatic and able to work in a team;
Good capacity of analysis and synthesis;
Able to work and interact with multiple interlocutors from several countries.

Scope of work:



Contracts and litigation:
implementation and adaptation of the standard contracts and templates prepared at Corporate Group level (general sale terms and conditions, general purchase terms and conditions, all other contracts templates….),
drafting and negotiation of sales, subcontracting and purchase contracts in fields notably of transportation and logistics,
analysis of customer tenders, and suppliers offers,
prevention of disputes and advice to operational teams.

Compliance
You will ensure that all employees, businesses, and partners comply with and adhere to the legal and regulatory standards as well as the internal policies deployed in the Group such as: competition code, anticorruption code, code of ethics, export control policy, whistleblowing system.
develop and provide internal training for employees (competition law, anticorruption, etc.).
identify and analyze irregularities and problems of non-compliance, report to the Corporate head office, propose changes and improvement plans, implement them.
collect internal information and formalize responses to requests that may be received from the authorities,
collaborate with the other departments of the Group (for example, internal audit, DCM, HR, etc.) to promote a compliance culture.

Insurance
instruct the insurance broker with the claims filed by the subsidiaries under the Transport & Logistics policy and all other insurance policies (civil liability, property damage and construction claim files…)
advice the subsidiaries on matters relating to the occurrence of a damages, the procedures to be followed to declare a claim,
ensure that the insurance compensation regulations are received according to the procedure in force;

Real estate
ensure the negotiation and validation of all types of real estate contracts and ancillary agreements (bank guarantees, mandates, ..)
make sure that the formalism of their signature is respected,
check the regulatory feasibility of real estate projects.

Company law
Preparation of shareholders and board of directors meetings of subsidiaries, in connection with the Group corporate team
Preparation of minutes and associated resolutions,
Advice and assistance of operational staff on corporate law issues.
